Miranda Luis is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and the compassionate Director of Hope on ACK and New Hope Therapeutic Services, our sister office in Connecticut. She found her calling in mental health through a deep commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered care, and she brings that same depth and heart to every part of her work—as a clinician, a leader, and a steady presence for the teams and clients she supports.

Miranda works with teens and adults, offering individual, couples, and family counseling. She specializes in supporting clients through trauma, PTSD, and Complex PTSD (CPTSD); anxiety, OCD, depression, grief, and life transitions; and LGBTQ+–affirming care, including gender transition and Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). She also has particular experience working with military service members, first responders, adolescents, and couples.

Her clinical approach blends structure with innovation. Miranda integrates evidence-based interventions such as CBT, DBT, CPT, and mindfulness, and as a LENS Neurofeedback provider, she offers an additional, gentle pathway for helping the nervous system find greater balance and resilience. Whatever the method, her focus stays on the person in front of her—their pace, their goals, and what healing looks like for them.

As Director, Miranda is more than a clinician. She nurtures the vision and quality of care across both practices, guiding her teams with warmth, integrity, and clinical excellence, and working to make sure every client who walks through either door feels genuinely cared for.

When she's not at work, Miranda enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and dogs. You'll often find her outside—reading by the ocean, traveling, or watching a motocross event. She's also a devoted sports fan, especially of soccer and football, and is always on the lookout for new places to explore and new foods to try.
